ABOUT JASON LAFOREST
Born and raised in Phoenix, Jason LaForest is a true local, shaped by the state he proudly serves. A product of our public schools, Jason earned degrees from the University of Arizona and Grand Canyon University. After graduating, he began a decade-long career in public service, becoming one of Arizona’s youngest chief financial officers to lead multiple state agencies. Jason has served under different administrations and worked closely with elected officials from both parties, shaping his belief that when governing becomes political, the public pays the price.
An Eagle Scout and avid outdoorsman who completed the Arizona Trail, he values what makes Arizona unique and is committed to creating lasting opportunities for future generations.
EXPERIENCE THAT MATTERS
Education
Jason has graduated from the University of Arizona with a degree in Economic Development and earned a master's degree in Accounting from Grand Canyon University.
Public Administration Results
As a state executive, Jason has witnessed systemic failures in oversight and accountability and knows how to fix the system. He has saved taxpayers millions of dollars by eliminating fraud, waste, and abuse at state agencies.
Public Sector Leadership
Executive leader and former Chief Financial Officer with experience serving at the Arizona Corporation Commission, Arizona Department of Gaming, and Arizona Department of Health Services, with a background in government finance and operations.
Nonpartisan
Jason has spent his career in public service focused on solving Arizona’s problems through practical leadership, fiscal responsibility, and accountable government, not partisan politics. When elected, he will continue to provide solutions and policies that put people first.
