ENSURE ACCOUNTABLE STATE LEADERSHIP

Executive, Deputy, and Assistant Directors hold significant influence over the administration and direction of state agencies, yet currently operate with minimal external oversight. These unelected officials make decisions that directly impact public policy, resource allocation, and service delivery, often without sufficient public accountability. When elected, I will propose the creation of a citizen-led Independent Oversight Commission tasked with reviewing and investigating the conduct and performance of these high-ranking public officers. The Commission will ensure that their actions are consistent with state laws, administrative codes, and ethical standards. This Commission will serve as a necessary check on bureaucratic power, promoting transparency, accountability, and public trust in our state institutions. The government should serve the people and that begins with ensuring those in power are held to the highest standards of integrity and responsibility.
